Had lunch here with my father, sat outside in the garden area (all seating is outdoors but covered, wear a coat if it's a chilly day). We shared two small plates- the black & blue shrimp and the Mahi mahi, both were absolutely delightful, with unique flavors and generous portions for "small plates". If you're not too starving two small plates are sufficient for a nice light lunch! Can't wait to go back with the husband for date night!

Arrived at 1:30, perhaps just after the lunch rush. We seated ourself as the sign said and waited. For a while. Eventually a stressed server ran by and said she would be over soon. She came back with menus and took our drink order, mentioning she was the only one there. 10 minutes, no drinks, still haven't ordered, a guy came by trying to take our drink order again. Eventually our original server came back and took our order. She was very nice. Unfortunately we both tried to order fish items to which we were told "we have no fish" I ordered the chicken sandwich and my friend ordered the cilantro shrimp tacos. We waited another 20+ minutes for the food to arrive. My chicken was all cut into little chunks like for chicken salad. it was cold. The roll was torn, although fresh. It was overall a small and messy sandwich. Everything kinda fell out. My friend's tacos looked delicious and messy. They came with guac, and sour cream, and a side of rice. They looked especially great as I sat and watched them eat. I finished my tiny sandwich in 5 bites. It came with some tasteless slaw and a cheap pickle. I left there hungry. I ordered iced tea which was fine. My guest ordered a coke which came in a can. No cup or ice or anything came with it. Eventually I received a refill on my drink, without asking, although they were't giving up any more lemon that the tiny sliver I had in the first one. I wanted to have a better experience here. I think it was probably a busy time as its spring break. Although it was just us and 1 table by the time we left. But why they had no servers, no food, and long wait times, well that needs to be worked out. They had a help wanted sign in the window so maybe they are short staffed too. The restaurant itself is all outdoors. Its very cute and airy. You can see the intercoastal across the street. The menu is diverse, the prices are decent. The quality of the food looked good, just don't get the chicken sandwich. They offered a $10 yelp voucher for $5 which they gladly accepted. I will be back to give them another chance. Just don't come when you are in a hurry!

Tuesday nights are unlimited chicken wing night for $15 a person. I think I ate about 40 chicken wings and I'm a 115 pound female, so good ! The chef even experimented and made some concoction sauces. Love this place :)

Decent spot at best. Confused by the 5 star ratings. Would day there is three other sandwich spots before this one to check out. Nice folks run it!

Love this place! The food is great, the owner is always there and friendly and the beers are cheap and ice cold! They have the best nachos I have ever had! We had a group of 4 all eat and drink for $60! It is definitely our favorite food and drink place in Delray now!

Great small place right on E. Atlantic just passed the bridge. Outside seating is very cozy with lots of fans on to keep you cool. Wings are great and the owners are very nice. Will come back for breakfast!

Party of 7 including a toddler was pleasantly surprised. $84 for fish tacos, mahi plate, sandwiches, chicken fingers, and a couple drinks. Great value for the price and ambience was really nice too. Genesis was a great server and very attentive. Only issue was no high chair. Definitely worth a return trip.

So this place went downhill real fast. We had read the good reviews and were looking forward to the lobster mac n cheese. We ordered the shrimp tacos, steak tacos, lobster mac, and fried conch. 10 minutes later, the waitress told us they were out of lobster, ok we'll take the regular Mac. N cheese..10 more minutes and she tells us they are actually out of noodles for the Mac... Ok. Weird. Then she brings us one too many orders of shrimp tacos. The shrimp were mediocre, the steak was a solid 7/10. The conch are edible but borderline gross. Caffe Luna Rosa for breakfast really redeemed our impression of Delray food, it was fabulous and reasonably priced. Lesson of the day... stop where there are other people, when the tables are empty, move on.

This was a family run joint who were obviously doing it right. I was a little confused to start, but once I was seated in the outdoor eating arena I enjoyed some delicious chili (Which I really only got because it said it came with jalapeno cornbread which was just as good as I imagined it to be. Holy wa!) I had the darndest time deciding what to eat, but settled on the sliders as I read a review about them on yelp. They were quite worth it. First of all they were a great Medium Rare the way I ordered them and the buns were crispy, but buttery providing a perfect contrasting texture. I ordered additional fries because I am a glutton and could not finish them at all, but they were great. My only complaints were that I could have used a few more napkins (because I am a glutton and never really had an opportunity to ask) and it is hot when you have to sit outside. You could tell that the food was high quality and there was a lot of love put into it. I will be back for lunches in the future.

Came here before the holidays, it was great! Inexpensive and the food tasted great! It's also a fun little people watching spot. You can tell it's family run, which is a really nice thing to see. We had the guacamole and chicken sliders. They were great! Cute little spot and will definitely be back.

As a local, I have to say Lilo's is a great addition to the Ave! Anything that I've ordered has been really great, especially for the price. These guys wised up and took advantage of the outdoor area as well. They are still very new, so sometimes the staff seems a little unorganized, but nothing they won't work out. We need to get the word out to help them survive the off season!

  • Wendy L.

Had the shrimp tacos which were good. Large portions and super friendly staff, they even brought out a bowl of ice water for my dog. I'm going to go back to try other menu items... It is VERY casual and only has outdoor seating.

Impressive. From my server Joanna to the quality and freshness of the food, Lilo's is a shining star on the over populated Atlantic Ave strip. First off, everything is made fresh daily. This is more than apparent with the guacamole alone. It's flat out spectacular. Chunky with that cool, smooth flavor you always hope for in this dish. It hits a home run. The cilantro lime shrimp tacos delivered as well. Simple but flavorful. Spices never interfered with the taste and texture of the shrimp, which were plentiful in each of the three tacos. Great balance in prep and delivery. The menu is inviting without being overwhelming and dishes are affordable. With the overwhelming amount of dining options on this strip, Lilo's is a welcoming oasis for those looking for great service and pretentious free fresh food.

Great food and wonderful service. The atmosphere is great. They are located on the Atlantic Ave. causeway. Do not miss this affordable dinning experience when visiting Delray Beach.

I walked right past this place with my dog and my husband, and felt a strong beer force that dragged me back and into this dog friendly/craft beer promising/empty but cozy outdoor cafe (mostly thanks to a sign promising $4 drafts). Next thing I know, I was ordering a craft beer from their menu. To our disappointment, the options were minimal and most of the options in their drink menu weren't available. Their food menu looked interesting enough to make me want to go back (gotta have that lobster & applewood bacon mac & cheese and that jalapeño corn bread), and give this place a second chance.

  • Julia L.

Food was decent. My hubby and I both got tacos. His steak tacos were a bit overdone and my shrimps were minified! You could barely see them! The waitress was great, however she was the only one working so it was amazing slow and with 2 young kids that doesn't bode well. We also went at 530 and were the only people there at first but we didn't get our food for almost an hour. I don't think we would go back.

I had the Mahi sandwich. I ordered it blackened. The fish was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious. They gave me a large piece of fish which was nice. They put a sauce on the fish which is very good but I don't think it needed that much because the fish is so delicious on its own. Next time I will get the sauce on the side. The cole slaw needs work so I will get the chips next time. I am going try breakfast here next. It's the most affordable place in town at only 5 bucks for an omelette. Thanks for the great meal!!!!!!

Here for the first night of live music. What a blast. Patio is so much fun. Ordered the cilantro lime shrimp quesadillas and steak burritos. Very tasty. The best part about this place is how friendly the owners Beth and Joe are. This could be the next little (the place is not real big) big thing on the strip in Delray Beach.

After reading all of these raving reviews on Yelp, my family and I decided to give Lilo's a shot. Our expectations weren't astronomically high, but again, with all of the great reviews, we were expecting at least a decent meal. Almost everything about our experience was absolutely awful. It seems to have been the outlier as opposed to the norm, as my review appears to be the only negative one on Yelp so far. **Please note: this is an amended review. My initial post was rather lengthy & pretty harsh, however completely honest. Since posting it, both owners have reached out to me to ask for a second chance, on the house. Because of their kindness and desire to keep customers content (albeit after the fact), I've changed my star rating from a 1 to a 2. I will not be taking them up on their offers, as I don't think it's fair to give a restaurant a review based on an attempt to amend a bad situation. I'd rather return as an unassuming regular customer and give an accurate review of an experience any person could have. There were apparently several issues in the kitchen that held up operations on the night that we visited. I've worked in the service industry for several years in the past & know that it is always best, especially in cases to this extent, to communicate an issue to the customer beforehand. There was a lot of "I forgot to tell you..."s from our server and an overall lack of communication. We waited 30 minutes for chips and guac (& received soggy chips & a small amount of guac for the price paid) without prompting an explanation. This seemed to be a theme throughout the evening as a meal that should have taken 45 minutes tops took over an hour and a half. We're a generally easy to please, patient crowd, but in this case, we were constantly waiting and had to prompt answers from our server as to why the service was lacking & why the different courses of the meal were taking so long. The chips & guac were comped because of the wait, but that didn't make up for waiting too long for other courses later on. To keep this easy, I'm going to list the issues we had: -Upon arriving, I asked to see a dinner menu & was informed they are not currently posting the dinner menu. This is a good thing to notify potential customers of on your website. -Staff was unprofessional, forgetful & non-communicative. -Chips & Guac were overpriced for the portion & the chips arrived very soggy. Edible, but not too pleasant. -I ordered a side of rice (from a choice of rice or beans) and was served beans. When I reminded the server of my order, I was essentially told "Sorry, I hope that's okay," instead of "can I get you something else?" or "is there something else you'd prefer?" -When I stated a preference for a different side, I was charged for it ($6 for fries). -Food was very average tasting. Both a member of my party & myself ordered fish & were less than thrilled. It was edible, but really nothing special. (The third member of my party ordered a grilled cheese. She had no complaints.) Again, our overall experience was not good. I understand that Lilo's is a newer restaurant to the Ave in Delray & I sincerely hope that the owners will see our experience as an opportunity from which to grow & learn going forward.

What a great day sitting in Lilos garden, such a beautiful majestic atmosphere nestled under beautiful trees lending a perfect amount of shade on a hot day . I really enjoyed the food my husband was hesitant about having an egg on his Lilo burger but was so happy he did, they obviously know how to please the taste buds. You might have to wait a little because everything is made fresh so I didn't mind that at all. All and all it was a great experience. Can't wait to go back.

5 OUT OF 5 STARS, A+++, THUMBS UP GALORE. Lilo's is the best new place on the ave and probably my new favorite place on the ave as well. This place is out of this world good. My girlfriend and I went there today. I ordered the spicy beef hard tacos, it comes with three tacos, rice, guac, sour cream and salsa. Perfect sized portion and the tacos had solid structural integrity. I got their iced tea, it was awesome. My girlfriend got the cheeseburger sliders, they were really good too. It comes with 3 sliders, the buns are like tiny butter and garlic texas toasts. It came with lays potato chips. They've got a nice set of beers and some awesome sounding happy hour deals. Like I said Lilo's is great, I hope this place stays open for 100 years and gets recognized as the best new resturaunt in delray.

Great little restaurant! Reviews are spot on with how quaint the seating is. Great variety. Waitress says dessert menu changes all the time. We didn't have any room left for dessert...

Where do I begin? We frequent Lilo's nearly every week. It's our, 'where should we go this Friday night?' end-all-discussion choice, and not only because we love the service and seeing the owner, Lindsey, but the food. Is. Amazing. So fresh and delicious, it's such a treat. The beer specials are ridiculously awesome. A+++!!!

This is the best place to grab a quick bite before heading to the beach. The lobster Mac and cheese is incredible. The menu has something for everyone. I love the outdoor patio and atmosphere! The staff here makes you feel right at home. This is definitely a must see.

This place has become a staple for takeout in our house. The food is consistently fresh and simple. I always opt for the chicken tacos & load them with their freshly made guacamole. Yummmmm. We haven't had a chance to check out their outdoor area at night but we've heard the live music jamming from our house and have put it on out to-do list!

Amazing atmosphere and delicious food. The staff was friendly and prompt. I'd rave more but this is one of those places that you need to experience. It's not a massive venue either, but it doesn't matter. Bottom line is, I had great quality food at a more than reasonable price.

Not a bad place to grab a bite--reasonably priced, some outdoor seating, conveniently located on the strip. Good value for the shrimp tacos. Service friendly and attentive.

I have had the spicy beef taco, Athena (greek) wrap w/chicken and their breakfast sandwiches. This place continues to impress me with big flavor and fresh ingredients. The outdoor patio area has a bunch of fans and pumps out cool mist into the area. It was just as relaxing as being indoors in the air-conditioning but with the scenery of Atlantic Ave. I'm a huge fan, coming back on Tuesday for the all you can eat wings!

WOW! the food is incredible!! The atmosphere is amazing. Great place to sit and watch the big sports games, listen to live music, or just sit and have a great breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack/beer. Since they have opened I eat there with my coworkers atleast 3 days a week!! The food is amazing and the people are great!

I usually wait a while to write reviews these days, but I wanted to talk about Lilo's pronto. I was coming from out of town and had no idea what was in the Delray/Boynton area and trying to coordinate 3 other people to meet me for dinner was a pain in the ass. I saw this newer place pop up at the top of my search results and it won over some other well-known Delray places. No one in my group knew anything about it other than an address and menu online. I actually drove past it while trying to find it. Twice. It's a tiny little storefront with outside-only seating. Even though south Florida was a nice balmy million degrees, there were tons of strong fans keeping us cool. The chef's daughter waited on us and she was super sweet and friendly. At the end of our meal he popped out and made an appearance. I love that this is a mom & pop type of place and would definitely make it a regular stop if I lived in the area. So, the important things - the noms. My table ordered a bunch of drinks - most had sangria; I ended up with a peace tea lemonade-tea based on their suggestion. Well, looks like I found a new thing I like! It was taking us a while to decide on food, and we were also suggested homemade chips, guac, and salsa. Also an excellent choice. The chips were warm and crunchy, and the salsa had a nice bite. I ordered the filet tacos and they were loaded with fresh tomato, lettuce, cheese, and meat. It was mild (a safe option for people afraid of spicy things) but you can add the side of salsa to spice it up some. The three tacos were so filling but I wish I could have tried the chicken sliders two of my friends ordered. I could smell the pesto and was informed they were delicious. I'm so stoked with my decision to come here. I hope my friends local to the area keep going back, and it will definitely be on my list to return to when I make it back to this side of Florida.

Once again Yelp came though! I am in Delray quite a bit for work and am always up for finding a new tasty spot. I yelped lunch and came up with Lilo's. I enjoyed the breezy outdoor seating and really enjoyed the pulled chicken tacos. They were just like something I would make at home! The beans and rice were a little dry but still tasty. I look forward to lunching here again soon.

Lunch at Lilo's on a Sunday Funday!! Had the cilantro lime shrimp tacos and they were delicious and very filing(you get 3). For all my vegetarian friends the Southwest omelette has shredded ham in it, my friend found out the hard way lol.

Great little place for casual dinner and drinks... I only wish that the seating was more comfortable... We ordered the conch fritters which were very tasty... For dinner I had the lobster mac and cheese which was outstanding!! My fiance had beef tacos, they came out spicy which he liked however it was not my favorite. I definitely look forward to coming here again, if seating and atmosphere was just a little bit better then I would give this 5 stars... The food was delicious!!

It took me a little while to write a review for this place because I'm still trying to decide how I feel about it. I just want to add that I was with a VERY picky bunch. Two of which are elderly, so they don't like anything. First- the food: The food I would give 4 out of 5 stars. I had the shrimp tacos and they were a little salty, but really not too bad. Everyone else really enjoyed their food too. My brother also loved his Mahi- Mahi tacos. The guacamole was very fresh and delicious. I really would like to see this place have less Mexican on their menu and maybe more surf and turf without putting it in tacos. I just think in general this place had a lot of potential with the food, it just could have been better quality. Second- the service: Again, it really did have a lot of potential. The owner, Lilo, was so nice and hospitable. She frequently came over to my crazy bunch to make sure we were ok and she was doing the same to the other tables, which I think was great. Our waitress was very nice as well. She was new and you could tell, but she was very hospitable as well and was doing her very best. The kitchen was very slow, so it took a while for the food to come out. The place wasn't even that busy on a Wednesday night so we were confused about why it took so long. Third- the prices and additional remarks: It was definitely worth the money, but it didn't cost much. I wouldn't pay any more for the food we got. It definitely was not a rip off though, which most places are on Atlantic Avenue. This place would be a great place for lunch after the beach, I wouldn't recommend it for dinner. It's very casual. I would also come here with friends to drink and have a fun lunch because they have cheap beers and drinks. This place does have a lot of potential though.

Staff was nice a little ditsy but kind. Chips we're stale. Shrimp taco was good but overall it was just ok. Had the pork taco it was ehhh. They were kind of inexpensive tho Would recommend the shrimp taco but the rest not so much.

Hubby and I stopped in here for lunch today after passing by a gazillion times. What a fun little spot! Seating is outdoor only, with a lot of shaded options. I think there was only one table that was not underneath the awning and received direct sun. This is a casual spot where you place your order on a small clipboard and come up with a table name (not that it really matters, but it makes for a good conversation piece). We were, "Monkey Cheese Bubbles". Don't even ask. ;) Once our server saw we were done placing our order, she swung by, asked a few clarifying questions and BAM...order placed! I opted for the 3 vegetarian tacos and they were yummy. They came with my choice of rice or beans. I chose the beans even though beans were the primary filling for my veggie tacos that also included lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and cheese with sour cream, guac, and salsa on the side. My husband ordered the 3 shrimp tacos and kept talking about how good they were. For the price, the size of this lunch was very reasonable. I even asked for a to-go box for my remaining taco as they were filled so high and really filling for lunch. For a little casual spot, with friendly service and outdoor seating, check out Lilo's. Oh, and our server said they show movies against a little screen there on weekends. We might check that out next time.

Small, chill music, good food, cheap beer and a come as you are vibe. Came on a Saturday around 6pm with my wife. No seating inside but about a dozen tables outside. My wife had the steak tacos which she said was delicious and I had the shrimp tacos which were awesome! We also had chicken nachos which weren't your average nachos. The chicken was shredded which I loved but the cheese wasn't melted. It wasn't bad just not what I was expecting. Would definitely recommend!

Found this place on Yelp and came here based on the reviews. My experience here was not at all what I was expecting. The staff was very nice and helpful but everything felt dirty. The paper menus were very crumpled and had spots and stains all over them. The tables were covered in old crusted food. And when the server arrived with my water there was an oily-film all over the top. The food was pretty good. I ordered the 50/50 sliders which were good, but a lot smaller than I was expecting based on the price. My plate was about 80% french fries, 20% sliders. I typically have a hard time finishing my plate at a restaurant, but I left here hungry. I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews, but I don't think I'll be back.

This is a great spot to have a casual bite and get out of the sun. The food is nothing to write home about but it was good for a light beach day lunch. My Mahi Sandwich and coleslaw was enjoyable but did not stand out - the coleslaw tasted overly dressed and the Mahi wasn't as seasoned as I expected. The beer list was lacking in craft options but perhaps this is just because we visited a few days after St. Patrick's Day. It is a smallish space so be prepared to possibly wait on a busy day.

This was a cool place. I met my boyfriend for lunch on a workday. The place was nearly empty, so we had a seat immediately. He had our dog with him at work, and brought her here. They gave our pup a bowl of water and a treat. They are very dog-friendly, which made us feel very welcome. As for their menu, there are a few items that are vegetarian. I ended up just eating a simple cheese quesadilla. It came out cooked perfectly. My boyfriend had some steak sandwich thing that he loved. Overall, the staff was incredibly nice to us and our pup. They were on top of our drinks and food. I really liked this place for a quick bite to eat for lunch.

Lilo's has a great little atmosphere and is a nice place to go if you want some beverages with brunch. They have mimosa specials. However, I was not impressed with the food. I could have made a better breakfast at home. Very average egg meals, no fruit. Not many healthy options. Food is just average breakfast food. Depends what you are looking for!

I would never go back again or refer this place to anyone. I have been there twice , once for breakfast and once for dinner. The chef is mediocre at best and couldn't cook his way out of a soup kitchen. My seven year old nephew can make eggs to order and knows the difference be well done and over easy. The tacos were served with salsa out of a jar and the meat taste as if it was boiled and thrown together. God bless the location and the quaint setting or there would be no hope for their establishment. Please prove me wrong.

Overall, it was very good, I've been there a few times but today I went for their breakfast. Got there at about 10 and didn't have to wait for a table. There were a few tables, seemed a lot for for one server. For breakfast I had the Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich (bacon, egg and cheese). It bangin, the cheese was melted perfectly blending all the goods together. My Girlfriend talked me into the coffee cake which was grilled on the stove top. Had a mix of crispy, savory and sweet. My girlfriend got the pancake special, cinnamon sugar thing, I really enjoyed my bite of it. Best textured batter I had had in a while (and I am not a fan of pancakes). Generally nice breakfast, will bring a crew to try the sangria and mimosas... have a little Sunday Funday.

After hearing lots of great things about this place we finally tried it for lunch today and we were not disappointed. They have 89 cent wings so we ordered 6 of them in the garlic flavor, delicious. For the main course I had the spicy beef tacos and my husband had the bacon blue burger. Both were tasty and the portions are huge, I only made it through one taco (they give you 3). My husband even had leftovers and that NEVER happens! Service was also top notch, can't wait to go back and try other menu offerings.

Three generations were looking for a mellow, friendly, non-chain place for dinner, and we found it here. The food was great, the service friendly and down to earth. We sat outside in the garden. We will definitely be back if we're in the area again.

This is a great place to pick up a tasty quick bite while walking around Delray. Seating is covered and outside, service was very friendly and prices were great! Tacos are flour or corn tortillas and served American style with lettuce tomato and yellow cheese. We tried the spicy beef, pork and grilled mahi mahi and all were good. Tacos were $2-3 each and beans/rice were $3 each and not worth it on my opinion. Beer and wine and Sangria are available.this place seems perfect for a late night alternative to fast food or beach take out.

Fast Fresh Fantastic just as promised. Steps from the intercoastal waterway without intercoastal prices and congestion. AAA+ on warm, earthy, natural homey hospitality. Much thought put into recipies and preparation. Athenian salad with minted dressing was dreamy. All condiments and sauces creative and orginal. Refreshing alternative to hectic, crowded and pricey East Atlantic or West Avenue scene. The big surprise was the pleasant and quiet outdoor dining. For the driver or pedestrian from exterior Lilo's looks like a tiny storefront sandwhich shop or small indoor cafe. However, the actual seating is a tween-building garden/covered patio setting followed by additional rear open air patio seating under and among trees and plants. We chose the rear and had a very very relaxing late lunch and retreat. To our host...only one suggestion...more agressively advertise/promote directly from your facade, from your sidewalk that your seating is romantic, outdoor, covered and treed casual patio. Because you're so near the bridge and so much is going on in the vicinity, that point is missed by passers-by.

Nice new addition to the east end of the avenue. Inexpensive and nice outdoor patio. Service is great and the food is mostly excellent and fresh. As a local I appreciate this type of non tourist hangout. Let them go to Deck 84 next door, yuck.

Terrible! Chicken wings have no flavor and no sauce, hot dog had a stale bun and condiments came in packets instead of on the food, burger tasted like Burger King with grizzly meat and a tomato that I would not give to my dog. The famous fries were wet and limp and salted to death. We threw $35 worth of food in the garbage . This place will never make it on the ave. Dont waste your time or money here. Plenty of other quality places all around them.

Great staff, great food, great atmosphere. The shrimp dishes are a specialty, we had the Athena salad and tacos and loved them. There's a good selection of beers and the specials cycle through them well. It's a bit noisy outside next to the street, so get inside if you'd like more quiet.

Excellent food and excellent service. We walked up and were greeted by a wonderful man who proceeded to explain the restaurant and the food. We were actually on our way to Deck 84 but we were persuaded to eat here instead. BEST. DECISION. EVER. Mahi tacos were fantastic and the Lobster Mac and Cheese had 3 full claws of Lobster. Server was the owner and you could tell how genuine and sincere he was. We'd definitely go back.

The Mac and cheese here was killer!! the place is so cute and quaint! you get two tacos with with the taco meal, which i was worried may not fill me up, considering i was sooo hungry!

This is my favorite lunch casual lunch spot in Delray. Nice couryard patio, friendly service. They make a huge, fresh homemade hummus platter that's to die for.

We came here based on the reviews.... Don't expect much. Food was ok, nothing special. We had to get up and get our plastic silverware. Be prepared for a basic picnic dinner.

WOW! the food is incredible!! The atmosphere is amazing. Great place to sit and watch the big sports games, listen to live music, or just sit and have a great breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack/beer. Since they have opened I eat there with my coworkers atleast 3 days a week!! The food is amazing and the people are great!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
